2003 November: Massive changes in the control software and the server software:
All images (light, background, annotated jpg, non-annotated jpg, thumbnail) are processed at the client system using "wolf", and copied to the server. The server is now only copying the files to the directories and generates the movies.
Star labeling was added to the annotated jpgs.
Photometry ascii files are generated at the remote machine and copied to the server via scp.

2002 December 23: The ST-8 CCD camera has now failed. It will soon be removed and sent back to SBIG for repairs. We will put the MW CONCAM back online as soon as it is repaired.

2002 June 24: Another planned power outage at Michigan Tech. will have the system go down for a day between June 25 and June 26. We hope to be able to bring back the systems by noon (EDT) on June 26.

2002 June 17: Everything seems to be working normally. The system will probably go down for a few hours on the morning of June 18, due to a planned power outage at Michigan Tech.

2002 April 25: For some reason, the cron deamon ignored all submitted batch jobs. We will work on this and most likely have things back to normal tonight.

2002 April 3: New software has been implemented to balance the large contrast between the background to the SW, which was dominated by the lights of Los Angeles, and the rest of the frame. The frames will now look somewhat unusual, but will show stars a lot better.

Also a new link to an online Star Map has been added, synched to the correct time and observing location. Lastly, general improvements in the web page were implemented.

2001 January 25: The new laptop appears to be functioning normally.

2001 December 5: The CONCAM's laptop has been badly hacked and we are in the process of replacing it with a (much) more secure laptop. We expect normal operations to resume by the middle of December. The new CONCAM will run at identical sidereal intervals, to the Wise (Israel) CONCAM, which will become the CONCAM global default. - RJN
